Thank you. That’s a wonderful suggestion. You are absolutely right, Cambodian have many diferent kinds of noodles. We have Kuy Teav Phnom Penh, Kuy Teav Battdombong, Kuy Teav prohett, Kuy Kho Ko, Kuy Teav koun sers….etc. Too many…

If you have good recipes, please share with everyone so we can learn more about Khmer food.

maybe you should list the different styles of ka tieu. like ka tieu phnom penh and ka tieu bahut saik kho.

The Khmer food recipes are listed from page to page. This is a blog style site, so you will have to click on previous page to see more recipes.

I will try my best to list ingredient in english, however I believe foreigners should learn Khmer food names as well since it’s a native food. There are usually pictures available, if they are not sure what is.

your foods do not have recipes except pictures. How are people going to learn from it without recipe and cooking directions? It is good to spread kmer culture around the world, so they know more of who we are. However, full information would be very helpful. Oh, one more thing, if it is ok for you to translate those ingredients from khmer into english,it would be great. Otherwise, people who don’t speak kmer have no clue what are those ingredients.

Thanks for suggestion. I think the correct way to say Cambodian noodle is Kuy Teav, however we usually say Ka Teav when we speak fast. And also there’s no right or wrong when it comes to spelling. The spelling comes from how how you pronounce it, for example, one can write Kuy Teav, Kuy Tieu, Kuy Teaw…etc.

When it comes to Khmer romanize english, there is always a discrepency.
