The interest in foreign foods greatly benefitted the U.S. food scene, in many ways…and has, I think, ultimately strengthened our interest in the cuisine of our own nation, and individual regions. I expect the same will likely happen in Cambodia. There’s never anything that quite matches the foods we grew up on, the comforts of home, while its nice to eat something different now and again, too. It can also build bridges with the people of other cultures.
I’m sorry Rob I don’t think there is a site online where you can purchase Prahok, however your best bet is to walk into an asian store(Cambodian, Loas,or Thai). Depending on what store you go into it goes by a different name, Laos and Thai call it, (I believe) Pa dac. I hope that helps, Good Luck!
Is there someplace on line I can Purchase Prahok???
