Amazing Khmer Artist

KhmerwomanMr. Khem Chantha, a Khmer artist who won first prize in the Cambodia National Artist contest in 2000. Mr. Khem Chantha art work depicts the beauty and the darkness of Cambodia’s daily life. His skill is a masterpiece! I’ve never seen anything like this, his arts look so real. I used to learn about world art when I was in college, I can say he’s better than Monet, Pablo, Vincent van Gogh… they cannot beat Mr. Khem Chantha’s talent! As soon as I saw his paintings, I am deeply in love with them. I cannot help looking at them over and over again…. breathless and priceless. It seriously gives me goose bump. All I can say is…. WOW!  How did he do that?  Some people are born with special talent indeed.  I’d like readers to visit his site to see why I am confident to say that his works exceed some of the western artists.

He’s awesome! Looking at his art reminds me of Cambodia in peaceful time. The touch of tranguility of these images give me a peace of mind. And I do wish that this serenity will come back to Cambodia once again. It’s very beautiful.

    Wanna,
He’s good. I heard that some of his paintings were rejected by CPP because he depicted the sad side of Cambodia such as poverty. It is the reality. Government should support talented citizens instead of censoring them.

    -Kunthea,
Glad you like them. Thanks for supporting him. I hope mr. Khem Chantha will get your message.

Don’t let the reality of the artist pull over your eyes. What you saw, it seemed what you wanted to desire but it may not be the fact. The differences of Khmer Nationalist and Khmer artist are way distinctive of what you saw and thought, the artist can scam you because of what you want to see and desire, but the nationalist will scarify oneself for the glory of the Khmer’s country. Instead, he rather sink Khmer’s name for his own personal gain, for those who just know his art products, may speak their mind but for those who have known the products of his behaviors, may speak the truth. The truths were out there, and so are lies and why let the reality pull over your eyes?

    cheers,

  • Hello, I am trying to contact Khem Chantha. All attempts to reach him have failed. If anyone knows his contact information, that would be appreciated!
